Illinois Wedding Photographer | Barn Wedding
This New Years Eve wedding at Willoughby Farm was so much fun! This rustic barn wedding venue is on the Illinois side of the river. It is located about 20 minutes from St. Louis, MO in Collinsville, Illinois. I live about five minutes from this barn wedding venue. Being an Illinois wedding photographer, I was excited to photograph a wedding in such a local place that I visit often. Willoughby Farms isn’t just an event venue, it is a large park with playgrounds and even hiking trails. There are even farm animals to hang out with. It is a really fun place and a perfect wedding venue if you are going for a rustic barn theme. If you would like to learn more about this venue for your wedding, check out this blog post I wrote about it here!
The sun came out and warmed up the day for this December wedding. The day before was a typical cold December day, so this warm spring-like weather really felt magically like God was blessing this couple! Kori and Joe were such a sweet couple and had the best friends and family there to celebrate their love. The weather was beautiful and the night ended with a gorgeous sparkler exit to send off the newly weds! If you are planning a sparkler exit, I suggest buying extra long sparklers like this couple did! The sparklers were long so they were able to keep burning for awhile. That allowed the couple do more than one run-through for a variety of different poses while running under the sparklers.
